At long last, Loki has arrived once again for a second season, this time with new challenges, new foes and new faces- namely newly minted Academy Award winner Ke Huy Quan as the episode’s namesake, “Ouroboros.” This one’s a trippy and twisty ride, so here goes…
Welcome Back | Picking up immediately where season one ended, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is being pursued by Mobius (Owen Wilson) and other TVA agents after ending up in a world where Kang is in charge. Loki hijacks a flying taxicab and ends up crashing it into the TVA’s office, where he sees Casey (Eugene Cordero), who doesn’t recognize him, and then Loki suddenly gets torn in different directions and ends up in the same room, but in the timeline he originally came from where Casey knows him. Then, Loki gets pulled again, while in the original timeline, Mobius and Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) try to locate Loki and tell everyone the truth about the TVA.
A new Hunter X-5 (Rafael Casal) summons Mobius and B-15 to see the Judges of the TVA, who demand to know what the hell is going on since the branching timelines are increasing alarmingly. B-15 tries to tell everyone about Renslayer’s treachery and the fact that they all have other lives in other timelines, while Loki ends up in a timeline where Kang’s face is all over the conference room and he finds a tape recording of someone talking to Renslayer and telling her that she’s a good servant.
Loki then gets yanked into Mobius’s timeline and tells everyone about Sylvie and Kang and the Judges order their hunters to track down Sylvie. Loki warns everyone that Kang and all of his variants are coming, but he keeps getting yanked away to other timelines. Mobius says he knows someone who can help and takes Loki down to the basement to meet Ouroboros AKA OB (Ke Huy Quan) who recognizes Mobius from 400 years ago- his last visitor.

This Gets Complicated | OB says that Loki is time slipping, just as Loki gets yanked to the past where he meets OB and tells him what’s going on and OB says that only a temporal extractor can save him. Loki and OB build one and OB holds onto it for literal centuries until Loki returns to the present. OB brings them to the temporal loom, which weaves all the timelines together and is currently overloading.
OB tells Loki that his only way to stop time slipping is to prune himself from time while Mobius goes into the loom and fires the extractor to yank Loki out. This gets difficult when Loki slips again and ends up in the future version of the TVA, which is being evacuated. Mobius in the past fires the extractor, but only has a limited amount of time before OB must close the blast doors, or else Mobius will die. Loki sees a ringing phone in the future and then the elevator doors are pried open by Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) who seems happy to see him, before Loki gets pruned by someone unseen. Mobius pulls Loki out of the time stream just in time and Loki says they need to find Sylvie, just as B-15 sees an army of TVA hunters with weapons going to various timelines to find her.
Halfway through the credits, Sylvie arrives in Oklahoma in 1982 at a McDonald’s and tells the clerk that she wants to try everything.
