This week’s Loki isn’t just your average episode, no sir! “The Nexus Events” is a massive shift for the entire series and we’ve got the recap to prove it! Let’s dive right in!
The End Is Nigh | After a flashback to a young Sylvie being hauled away to the TVA by Ravonna (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), we pick up with Mobius (Owen Wilson) being told by Ravonna that Hunter C-20 (Sasha Lane) went insane after Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) possessed her and is now dead. On Lamentis, as Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Sylvie prepare for the end, they hold hands and this causes a nexus event in the timeline, so Mobius and his men track them down and take them back to the TVA.
Interrogation | Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) takes Sylvie to an interrogation room, while Mobius traps Loki in a memory prison of Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) kicking him in the crotch after he cut her hair off. After this, Mobius interrogates Loki and Loki tells him that the TVA is lying to him and that he and all the employees are variants. Mobius doesn’t believe him and leaves him in the memory prison, but after asking Ravonna questions that she can’t answer, he swipes a device from her desk that shows Hunter C-20 being interrogated and Ravonna cutting her off.
The Truth Comes Out | Hunter B-15 takes Sylvie to the Roxxcart store and asks her to show her the life she had before the TVA, which Sylvie does. Mobius grabs Loki and is now convinced of the TVA’s deception, but when they try to escape, they are immediately cornered by Ravonna and her hunters, who disintegrate Mobius into nothing! Ravonna takes Loki and Sylvie to the Timekeepers’ domain, but they are interrupted by Hunter B-15, who throws Sylvie a weapon and the three of them fight the hunters.
B-15 is knocked out, but Loki and Sylvie take out all the others. Sylvie decapitates one of the Timekeepers, but it turns out to be a robot. As Loki tries to tell Sylvie something, he is disintegrated by Ravonna, but Sylvie overpowers her and orders her to tell her everything. During the credits, Loki wakes up somewhere with other versions of Loki who tell him to come with them…
