In the “Legacies” season finale, “Fate’s a Bitch, Isn’t It?,” a LOT goes down and it actually sets up an exciting season 4 after a letdown of a third season. Landon and Cleo embark on a mission, while Hope deals with an old enemy and Lizzie hatches a plan to help Hope.
Heist Time | Our season finale begins with Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) and Cleo (Omono Okojie) breaking into a DaVinci exhibit at a museum and stealing a sculpture of a human heart, but they get identified by authorities and reported, which Alaric (Matthew Davis) sees and orders MG (Quincy Fouse) and Kaleb (Chris Lee) to track them down. Elsewhere, Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) immediately knocks out Clark (Nick Fink) before he can offer them a deal to destroy Malivore, but when they stop for gas, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) drives off with Clark when he tells her that he can find Malivore.
Inspiration | As Lizzie and Josie (Kaylee Bryant) hitch a ride with Ethan (Leo Howard), MG and Kaleb find the keycard to the motel Landon and Cleo are staying in, where Cleo melts the heart into Malivore mud to try to track him, but it doesn’t work. Speaking of not working, Clark tells Hope that his blood is no longer made of mud since he was resurrected as human, but his blood still leads to a location on the map when Hope performs the locator spell.
Collision Course | On their way to find Landon and Cleo, MG and Kaleb see a car wreck and stop to help them, while Lizzie tries to smooth talk Ethan into going out with Hope so she can move on from Landon. In the motel, Cleo inspires Landon to find a way to destroy Malivore, when at that moment, Hope storms into the room and immediately acts like a jealous ex!
She storms out and Cleo goes after her and insists that nothing happened. Clark talks to Landon and is suspicious of him and pulls a knife on him, but when Hope comes back into the room, she finds Clark with a throat wound. After Hope heals him, Cleo confronts Landon when he tries to storm off and he not only kills her, he eats her and everyone but Hope has forgotten that Cleo ever existed, proving that Landon is actually Malivore.
Alaric arrives and knocks Malivore out and Hope takes Clark to the hospital and deduces that Malivore got to Landon in the prison world. Hope casts the spell that makes everyone remember Cleo, who sees a light in the black of Malivore, while Ethan asks out Lizzie and for some reason, she says yes! Hope, Alaric and the others confront the imprisoned Malivore, who just smirks at them.
