Jane the Virgin’s Santos gets real.
Jane (Gina Rodriguez), of The CW’s new drama/comedy Jane the Virgin, and her family are hooked on telenovelas. And they’re all obsessed with one show in particular, The Passions of Santos.

Passions is the show within a show, whose star Rogelio’s (Jamie Camil) appearance isn’t limited to their small screen. He materializes in front of Jane whenever she needs that extra ounce of support and encouragement.
“What I love about the character is that he actually comes out of the screen and he’s actually a real character on the show,” Camil says. And as for his time on the set, the actor playing telenovela actor playing hopeless romantic says he’s “having fun.”
