“Iron Fist” Episode Review: Blurred Lines

On “Iron Fist’s” “Lead Horse Back To Stable,” Danny and Davos turn to Claire for help and Danny must decide if he is willing to kill to take down the Hand. Colleen faces a crisis of faith.

With the last episode changing everything you thought you knew about the show, Danny is understandably not too pleased. He wants to destroy the Hand and Davos is encouraging him to do what is necessary. This lead to the classic dilemma of “Is it okay to kill?” Danny’s fractured mental state obviously hinders his judgment, but on the flip side we have Davos, who wants the Hand gone by any means necessary. He seems to be the devil on Danny’s shoulder, ironic considering how helpful he seemed before.

Elsewhere, Colleen had a really bad day when she got caught trying to help Danny and Bakuto tried to have her killed. To be honest, Colleen’s story wasn’t that great this week, seeing as she was outed as the villain last time we saw her, it’s hard to feel sympathy for her. Amazingly, Danny does feel sympathy for her and convinces her to renounce the Hand, while Davos doesn’t look too pleased.

“Lead Horse Back To Stable” didn’t do much in terms of gearing up the final two episodes of the season. It really served as a way to ponder deep questions of morality, which the show has already dealt with and will deal with again. Not the show’s strongest outing.
