It seems like you just can’t trust anyone these days. Not only is Bakuto working for the Hand, but Colleen is as well, although she seems to justify it pretty well, so she could be mislead. This is essentially the Netflix world’s equivalent of the HYDRA twist from “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” so comparisons are sure to arise. Colleen seems to be the Grant Ward of this show, rationalizing her allegiances while claiming true feelings for the one she duped, so who knows if we’ll see a redemption.
We also got some cool fight scenes between Danny and Bakuto, as well as the introduction of Davos, Danny’s childhood friend from K’un Lun, who helps Danny escape. And then he chastises Danny about being a terrible Iron Fist. Wow, dude, at least say hi first.
Harold also murdered Lawrence and made it look like a suicide and lied to Joy about it so she could take back control of the company. Harold is clearly slipping to the dark side and just as Joy comes back into his life, too. What is it with this show and bad timing?
“Black Tiger Steals Heart” was a strong episode with tons of action and drama. Add to that a colossal twist and shifting allegiances and the final three episodes are shaping up to be one hell of showdown.
Iron Fist, the complete first season, is available to stream on Netflix.
