Grey Damon on Star-Crossed Character Grayson

star-crossed-season-one-gallery-grey-damonIn The CW’s new mid-season series, Star-Crossed, an alien species known as the Atrians, crash-land in a small Louisiana town. A decade later, a few Atrian teens are integrated into a high school which rocks the entire community.

On the other side of the alien race are the humans — one of which is the character of Grayson, played by Grey Damon (Twisted, The Secret Circle). In the network’s second freshman sci-fi offering this season, Grayson plays a fellow student who is on one end of an inevitable love triangle with Emery (Aimee Teegarden) and the Atrian boy whom she first met 10 years prior, Roman (Matt Lanter).

OMFGtv sat down with Grey Damon last summer in San Diego where he answered a few questions from reporters about what viewers can expect from his character.

“I think the trick is with a character like this is not to play a normal guy,” Damon says in reference to the nature of the characters he’s played in the past. “There’s always layers there and there’s always challenges and I hope that I can match those to where fans would be into it and like what they’re seeing and be intrigued by what I’m doing with it. It’s really just about making him intriguing in this world where you have all this other things like aliens and all out work and integregation and segregation of these aliens.”

And while he may be friendly and chummy with Emery, he hints that viewers may see a different and darker side of Grayson. From what the producers have presented him about his character, Grayson “is not unlikable” at this point. “It really just depends on what they do with him in the future. And they said that he’s going to have some darker things surface.”

“I assume they’ll do that with both Roman and Grayson,” he continues, “because that’s how you keep the ball going. You gotta mess them up a little bit and then build them again.”

Star-Crossed
premieres Monday, February 17, at 8|7c on The CW.
