“Stitchers” Exclusive: Kyle Harris Teases Episode 4, “Mind Palace”

It’s agents vs agents on tonight’s episode of Stitchers and OMFGTV got some details from Kyle Harris who plays resident movie aficionado and genius, Cameron Goodkin. The episode itself, entitled “Mind Palace”, is a wild ride filled with spies, brain puzzles, and maybe even some fight scenes.

The stitch of the week brings the team into the world of spies when an MI6 agent turns up dead and it turns out the NSA doesn’t always play well with others. “We deal with some other agencies,” Harris tells us, “and we kind of butt heads with MI6. It’s kind of like who can really out do who and who can outsmart who.” They meet a few characters in the process that prove to be handfuls in their own right and sometimes make the team feel like they are fighting an uphill battle to solve this one.

It’s not enough that they are being met with crossed arms by MI6 but the subject in question adds to the overall frustration as his own brain is one giant puzzle to unlock. The team will have to get past their own tensions and mistrust as of late to figure out a human brainteaser. They are a bunch of geniuses but Harris warns, “At the end of the day I think the Stitchers Team might prevail but it doesn’t come without a cost.”

Even within the team there is still mistrust and people going behind each others backs to do what they think is best. “You start to see them slowly break away from the program a little bit as much as they can without completely disobeying Maggie,” Harris says, “but they do go a little rogue on their own accord to kind of get to the bottom of it.” Whether it’s Camille and Kirsten teaming up to do a little mind mapping of their own, or Kirsten and Cameron using their skills to get more information about the program as a whole, it is safe to say no one is toeing the line anymore.

It wouldn’t be a spy episode without some awesome action sequences and while it feels like everyone gets a turn, it’s the ladies of the team that show they are not to be trifled with. Harris teases that he and Emma [Ishta] who plays Kirsten get to do a stunt or two together but the big one comes at the end. “There’s probably one of our longest fight scenes that happens at the end with some of the ladies which is pretty kickass and something to look forward to for sure.”

You’ll just have to watch Stitchers tonight at 9/8c on Freeform if you want to see who gets to show off their moves in an episode filled with twists, turns, and maybe a smooch or two.
