Freeform has renewed its supernatural drama Motherland: Fort Salem for a third season, TVLine reports. The news comes ahead of its Season 2 finale, scheduled to air Tuesday night on the young-skewing cabler.
According to the outlet, Motherland: Fort Salem‘s upcoming season will be its last. Being given that information in advance will be beneficial to the producers and writers of the show, so that they may deliver a satisfying ending to its series finale.
Via TVLine: “We’re excited to bring Motherland: Fort Salem back for a third season,” added Freeform President Tara Duncan. “I am grateful to Eliot and the entire Motherland team. They have created a truly immersive mythology that has resonated with fans since day one, and I know this last chapter will continue to deliver.”
The series stars Taylor Hickson, Ashley Nicole Williams, Jessica Sutton, Demetria McKinney, Lyne Renée, and Amalia Holm.
The Motherland: Fort Salem Season 2 finale airs Tuesday, August 24 at 10pm on Freeform.
