Freeform to Air “Runaways” Pilot After “Cloak & Dagger” Season Finale
One of the most requested crossovers in the Marvel Universe just got a huge tease, if this recent news is any indication.
CBR.com has learned that following next week’s season finale for Freeform’s Marvel series “Cloak & Dagger,” the network will broadcast the premiere of Hulu’s flagship Marvel show, “Runaways.”

This will mark the broadcast television debut of “Runaways,” which up until now, could only be viewed on Hulu. It is unclear if the rest of the season will air on Freeform as well.
This news fuels the fire of a crossover between “Runaways” and “Cloak & Dagger.” Given that Freeform has gone out of their way to make sure non-Hulu subscribers can see that series, the odds of a crossover between the two shows has just increased.
Recently, at San Diego Comic Con, Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb was asked about a “Runaways” crossover, given that the characters have collided in the comics. His answer was a simple, “Wait and see.” “Cloak & Dagger” stars Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph have also expressed interest in a crossover, and show runner Joe Pokaski disclosed to OMFGTV that, “We might be in the right orbit to pull that off.”
