Rise and Shine! The Water’s Feeling Fine at Camp Stillwater.
Freeform’s upcoming horror-supernatural series reaches new depths in the latest teaser for Dead of Summer, which you can check out below!
The 15-second promo is the third in the series of teasers, this time featuring a couple getting wet — oh, and they’re also in the water! The seductive spot shows a young female swimming up to her counterpart and taking her top off. But wait! Not too far from the pair is a dark, ominous figure lurking nearby. Moments later, the young man’s lifeless body is seen floating near the surface with his girl nowhere to be found.
With the supernatural activity happening here, it looks like the water at “Camp Stillwater” is not so still after all!
One thing we noticed from the three teasers is that there appears to be a theme:
And with the teaser below: WATER. If there is a fourth, we suspect it will have something to do with wind/air.
Something to note: These teasers were shown recently at Freeform’s New York Upfront presentation and does not include actual footage from the pilot. But they are still enjoyable, nonetheless!
Set in the late 1980s, school is out for the summer and a sun-drenched season of firsts beckons the counselors at Camp Stillwater, a seemingly idyllic Midwestern summer camp, including first loves, first kisses—and first kills. Stillwater’s dark, ancient mythology awakens, and what was supposed to be a summer of fun soon turns into one of unforgettable scares and evil at every turn.
