This week on Fear the Walking Dead we saw the events that led to Nick’s death. We saw when Strand, Alicia, and Luciana all decided to stay and fight for the stadium. According to them, that is the day everything changed, because they decided to stay and fight instead of pick up and move on. ‘Buried,’ was written by Alex Delyle and directed by Magnus Martens.
In the Truck | Al (Maggie Grace) is still set on gathering as many stories as she can, including the three people in her truck. Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), Strand (Coleman Domingo), and Luciana (Danay Garcia) begin to tell the story of that day. The day everything changed. If they hadn’t made the decisions they had, Nick (Frank Dillane) would probably still be alive.
Cacti | On that day, Strand went out on a supply run with Cole (Sebastian Sozzi), and after encountering some infected began to open up to the man he’s got a crush on. Cole says he wants to really know Strand, but he’s not prepared for the truth. Strand has been storing supplies in a car so he can run, and there’s room for one more. Strand offers it to Cole, but Cole is shocked that Strand would have supplies and not share them with their people. It’s safe to say Cole is turned off by Strand’s selfishness. Because of Cole’s reaction, Strand decided to return the supplies to his people, but he made it look like he and Cole found them.

The Library | Nick and Luciana end up at a library, Nick wants to find books for Charlie (Alexa Nisenson). Luciana finds a map book and wants to open to a page and go to it, make that their next home. But Nick has other ideas. He thinks they can use that map to make one large supply run that’s far away, then they wouldn’t have to make any more. He takes the idea to his mother, and Madison (Kim Dickens) agrees this could help them survive the Vultures.
The Waterpark | Alicia and Naomi (Jenna Elfman) scavenge for supplies in a rundown waterpark. They can see there are supplies at the top of the highest waterslide, but the only way up is through a pool of infected and up the slippery slide. They make it to the top, and after a stressful experience they find some medical supplies they can use. Naomi finds the keys for an SUV out front, and tries to leave Alicia behind when she was distracted, too bad the SUV was out of gas. Alicia talked Naomi into going back to the stadium so they can set up an infirmary.
Burial | In the present, they arrive to the place Al and her group think they’re going to bury Nick. It turns out that isn’t exactly why they’re there. Although they do end up burying him, they’re there for the weapons and ammo they’ve stashed there. As they’re getting into the truck, John (Garret Dillahunt) recognizes a bag the trio has with them. It belonged to his love Laura. Turns out Laura is Naomi, she never told him her real name, and the revolver that matches his is in the bag. Luciana tells John not many people made it out of the stadium, but Alicia jumps in to tell him she’s dead. But is she really? We didn’t see it, so i’m not sold on that! John and Morgan (Lennie James) are staying behind so John can process this loss, and Al goes forward with Alicia and the others to take exact revenge on the Vultures.
