Nick reveals a deadly secret to Marisol.
Marisol (Ana Ortiz) got quite a shock on the latest episode of Devious Maids when she found out that the man she is involved with may have murdered someone. She learns this piece of information as the heavily medicated Nicholas (Mark Deklin) lets it slip. But is he speaking the truth or was it the meds talking?
Unfortunately for Marisol, the story is true, but as Deklin explains, Nick wants her to believe that it’s not. “It’s unfortunate because he does love her and he thinks he’s doing it to protect their relationship. But it can never be an okay relationship as long as he’s lying to her.”
“At this point, Nicholas’ whole motivation is ‘I’ve got to keep Marisol from ever finding out about this because she’ll leave me, and I’ can’t have that.'”
“It’s a wrong-headed approach,” he continues. “I think that as human beings, we can understand that. You have a relationship you think is sort of precious in this way and so you sort of building protections around it. It’s a very human impulse but ultimately that’s not life.”
Devious Maids airs Sundays at 10pm on Lifetime.
