WORKING GIRL | When Genevieve’s (Susan Lucci) employees’ checks bounces, she discovers that she no longer has any money under her name. Her business manager stole all her money and disappeared, leaving her completely broke. Since he fled to Brunei, where the U.S. does not have an extradition treaty, he was free to spend all her money without anyone touching him. Saddened by bankruptcy and refusing to get a job to pay her bills, she asks an ex-husband Philippe Delatour (Stephen Collins) for money. He agrees to help her if she sleeps with him. She resists for a while but eventually gives in after the thought of her having a real job just doesn’t work for her. For the long run, however, she decides that the only way she can keep up her lavish lifestyle is to marry rich and find husband number seven.
PRETTY WOMAN | Marisol (Ana Ortiz) lands upon a DVD marked “Taylor” while cleaning the study at the Powell’s. When she plays the DVD, she finds that it is of Taylor Stappord (Brianna Brown) — back when she was a prostitute working for Adrian Powell (Tom Irwin) — and her now husband Michael (Brett Cullen) during one of her “sessions.” Marisol brings this news to the Stappord’s which upsets him and leads him to a confrontation with Adrian. The two have a brawl which is ended when Adrian’s wife Evelyn (Rebecca Wisocky) comes in wielding a bat. Evelyn and Marisol go into Adrian’s secret lair to retrieve all of Taylor’s DVD’s from his massive collection. After kicking out the Stappord’s and Marisol, Evelyn tells Marisol that she is fired.
LOL
• Michael explains to Genevieve that government aids will not be able to assist in her situation. “That’s not fair,” she replies. “They don’t have the same expenses rich people do. That’s why people choose to be poor in the first place; there’s no overhead.”
• Evelyn sure does love to flaunt her lifestyle, especially to those who are less fortunate. When she hears news that Genevieve has lost all her money, she offers to meet up with her to show her support. “Poor thing is having horrible financial troubles,” Evelyn tells Marisol. “And I want her to make sure that she knows that I am not.”
OMG
• Now that Spence (Grant Show) and Peri Westmore (Mariana Klaveno) have agreed to an open marriage, Spence is now free to take a ride on the “sensual merry-go-round” — which Genevieve lovingly calls it — with his housekeeper Rosie (Dania Ramirez). But their romp takes a bad turn when he gets a heart attack mid-intercourse. We hope Peri won’t find out!
• Carmen (Roselyn Sanchez) shows off her childish, jealous side when she meets a woman who works next door sleeping with Sam (Wolé Parks). Carmen claims she doesn’t care that the two are seeing each other but then gets devious when she uses her knowledge of the woman’s allergy to dogs to her advantage. Carmen borrows someone’s rottweiler and lets him roll around on Sam’s bed. When Sam and the woman come home, she gets a severe allergic reaction which lands her in the hospital. That was very low of Carmen. And how gross was it that Sam — who slept with the woman the night before — slept with Carmen after she confessed h er jealousy the night after?
OMFG
• Just when we thought Adrian’s sick obsession couldn’t get any worse, it does. Not only does he hire prostitutes for his friends and watch them have sex in a secret lair inside his house, but he captures all of these “sessions” on video! When Michael Stappord confronts Adrian about the Taylor DVDs, Evelyn — who is aware of everything that goes on in her house — takes Marisol to retrieve them. And we’re in shock at the large amount he has in his collection; it almost looks like a small DVD rental store.
