QUEENS FOR A DAY | Carmen (Roselyn Sanchez) makes good use of her employer’s absence to take advantage of what Alejandro’s (Matt Cedeño) house has to offer. And with her boss Odessa (Melinda Page Hamilton) out of the way, the mouse is looking to play. Carmen invites her fellow maids — Zoila (Judy Reyes), Rosie (Dania Ramirez), and Marisol (Ana Ortiz) — for a day of relaxation and lounging poolside with drinks. Ah, to live the life of the rich and famous.
PARTY POOPER | Valentina (Edy Ganem) is really into Remi (Drew Van Acker). And when she finds out that they both have a love for old movies in common, she finds herself meeting up with he and his friends at a local theater. When her mother Zoila finds out, she’s not amused. “He is your employer, not your friend,” she tells her. Trying to keep Valentina in her place, Zoila suggests that Genevieve throw a party for Remi and his friends so that Valentina will learn that she can’t mix business with pleasure. When some of Remi’s friends discover that Valentina is Remi’s maid, their interaction is immediately changed with distaste.
UNFORGIVABLE | Marisol offers to work for the Powell’s on her days off to which Evelyn (Rebecca Wisocky) is delighted, but first she must get the permission from the Stappord’s, because “Stealing somebody’s husband is rude. Stealing someone’s maid is unforgivable.” Taylor (Brianna Brown) wholeheartedly won’t allow Marisol to work for them. “Make no mistake, she is not a friend of mine,” Taylor tells Marisol. Later, when Marisol arrives at the Stappord’s with dry cleaning in hand she walks in on Taylor and Adrian Powell (Tom Irwin) mid-conversation. They both tell Marisol that she is now allowed to work at the Powell home. Taylor looks very disturbed at the conversation. “He’s just very persuasive and cruel,” Taylor tells Marisol when asked what made her change her mind.
Q&A | While doing some cleaning at the Stappord’s, Adrian grills Marisol about why she so badly wants to work for them, and in turn, she asks him questions about Flora (Paula Garcés), a topic which makes him wonder why she’s so curious. It’s an intense back and forth that the two of them have. Marisol arranges some books on the bookshelf and discovers a letter — written by Flora prior to hear death — and reads that whoever wrote the letter was raped. Adrian quickly takes the letter out of Marisol’s hands and storms out of the room just as she’s asking who the letter was from.
LOL
• Spence Westmore (Grant Show) finds men’s underwear which don’t belong to him and he questions Rosie to find out if he’s seen them before and if in fact his wife Perri did buy them for him. It’s a funny scene where you can see Perri’s pleading face hoping Rosie will lie and cover for her. Later, when Rosie confronts her about the truth, Perri is in tears and says that Rosie telling Spence will ruin her marriage. After Rosie promises Perri she’ll keep it a secret and walks away from the room, Perri wipes away her tears and continues reading her magazine. Her sob story was all just an act! She’s got quite the acting chops!
• At a luncheon, Marisol asks Evelyn if she’s had any luck finding a new housekeeper, to which Evelyn replies, “No. The agency sent over this one woman. She was stone-cold deaf. I need someone to react when I’m screaming at them.”
• Valentina reveals to Genevieve her love for Remi — news which brings a smile to her face. Genevieve agrees to help Valentina tell Remi of the secret she’s been keeping for as long as she can remember. “The duty of the old is the help the young find love. And since there are not old people around, it’s up to me.”
OMG
OMFG
• Peri Westmore (Mariana Klaveno) may seem like a wife dedicated to her marriage, but don’t be fooled. This self-obsessed woman is unfaithful as seen when her actor co-star arrives at her house ready to romp. While we kind of knew she was cheating on the side, it hurts us that this news will devastate her husband, Spence.
