The mysterious villain teased in the finale of “Supergirl’s” second season has finally been given a name and a face.
Odette Annable, who starred in films such as “The Unborn,” “Cloverfield” and “You Again,” has been cast as Reign, a “Worldkiller” with the same powers as Supergirl who was created by Zor-El.
“Greg Berlanti and I have wanted to work with Odette for years,” said executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. “We are beyond excited to have her join our cast in the scary, powerful and heartbreaking role of Reign.”
Reign first appeared in “Supergirl” comics in March 2012. Her introduction into the series should herald an interpretation of the “Worldkiller” storyline from said comics.
“Supergirl” season 3 premieres this fall on The CW.
