OMFGTV‘s interview series with several cast members of The CW’s The 100 continues with more of our chat with Echo actress Tasya Teles. Here in Part 2, we chat about “Becho,” fun times with the cast, and more!

Many fans of The 100 are very interested in a Bellamy/Echo relationship (AKA Becho), so we definitely had to get her thoughts on the pairing!

As a spy who was raised in a “very black and white” world whose only choice is to serve her people, Tasya says that Echo “doesn’t have the emotional capacity to understand what her feelings are for Bellamy.” The pair has been through a lot together with Mt. Weather and everything that happened after, and Echo doesn’t know what her feelings are for Bellamy (Bob Morley) are or what to do with them.

“I do think there’s a part of her that does want to form a camaraderie, or relationship, or alliance with him,” Teles tells us, “but she was also taught to distrust other people. She doesn’t know if she can trust the entirety of Skaikru, but she trusts Bellamy. She knows that.”

Though many will agree with Tasya’s quick description of Echo as being “sassy, intuitive, clever, loyal,” she offered up another attribute of her fierce character that make take many people by surprise. “I see a childlike quality in her.”

The actress elaborates, “The people that are taught to be really violent and spent their whole lives behaving that way, they lack the emotional maturity of adults. So I think there’s a really sweet curiosity about her, and a really sweet childlike naivety to her that she doesn’t understand a lot about sensitivity or emotion. She’s curious about people and I find that really endearing.”

What she also found endearing was working with the whole cast, something she was really excited about when returning to the series. Of the large ensemble, however, there were three individuals that stood out and made her experience even more incredible.

“I loved working with Bob, because Bob was like the only one I had worked with up until this season,” Teles says, “so he and I just have a familiarity and friendship outside of work.” On a series as intense as The 100, having someone goofy and funny around can certainly lighten up the set. For this, she credits both Zach McGowan (Roan) and Marie Avgeropoulos (Octavia). For Zach, she effuses, “He’s hilarious and doesn’t stop talking!” As for Marie, one of Tasya’s favorites to get into trouble with, she says, “We can’t stop laughing, ruining takes, distracting people, and being loud and hilarious.”

Stay tuned for Part 3 of our interview with Tasya Teles, and don’t forget to tune into The 100, Wednesdays at 9pm on The CW.
