Witches of East End Bosses on Love and Sex

Witches of East End‘s fans are very passionate about the various pairings on the Lifetime supernatural series. Among them are those who strongly “ship” Freya (Jenna Dewan-Tatum) and Killian (Daniel DiTomasso) — or Frillian, as they say on social media. With the addition of Eva (Bianca Lawson, “Teen Wolf”) thwarting the Frillian duo, fans are waiting to see how long it’ll take before she’s out of the picture.

At the San Diego Comic-Con, Executive Producer Richard Hatem tells OMFGTV that it will take a while but “things [will] resolve in a very surprising way. The course of true love is never easy.” Adds Showrunner Maggie Friedman: “We’re going to learn a few things about the past history of Kilian and Freya and why their relationship is so complicated in a way that neither of them knew or expected. They do have a very long history with each other throughout centuries, which we’ve teased throughout the show, but we’ll learn more about it as the season goes on.”

With Freya and Killian being “true love,” does that mean the witch and the warlock are endgame? We posed that question to Friedman who tells us that she can’t say. “Anything can happen at anytime. Obviously we all ship Killian and Freya; we’re all Frillian fans and some of us are totally Dashing (Dash/Ingrid). It’s a complicated journey. When you have hopefully many episodes to come anything can happen.”

Earlier in the day during the Comic-Con panel when a fan asked about what viewers can expect in the next few episodes, EP Hatem teased with one word: Nudity. When we later caught up with the producers, we just had to ask them to elaborate. What we found out is that there’s an upcoming episode nicknamed the “Sexpisode,” and Friedman revealed that “there’s some actual good sex happening in that episode amongst multiple couples.”

As for the final installments of the sophomore season, Friedman says they are not to be missed. “The last four episodes are pretty nuts. A lot happens.” “We’re going to lose a beloved character,” Hatem adds, “and the Beauchamp family is bigger than we thought.”
