When there’s a chance you could watch the world-premiere of FOX’s highly anticipated horror-comedy Scream Queens, you know that’s an opportunity we just could not pass up!
With the San Diego Comic-Con joint panel of American Horror story and Scream Queens taking place the following day, many of us in the audience didn’t expect any of the cast members to be there. There were, however, murmurs of some of the talent showing up. We asked a FOX rep in the room if anyone would be making a surprise appearance, and if so, who?
“I can’t say, but you’ll be really happy,” is all she said. Such a tease!
Moments later, the crowd erupted with cheers as Jamie Lee Curtis led a parade consisting of Emma Roberts, Skyler Samuels, Lea Michele, Keke Palmer, Abigail Breslin, and Billie Lourd (Billie’s mother, Carrie Fisher, was also in the audience!) into the packed room.
“You people have no f*cking idea how lucky we all are to be in this room tonight together,” exclaimed Jamie. “I am telling you I’ve been around a very long time. I’ve been a part of some really wonderful things, but I have never been a part of something like Scream Queens. Without Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan, none of this would happen, so we need to give it up so big to Ryan Murphy right now.
“You are the chosen people,” she continued. “From you, from your mouths and your fingers on those phones, you are going to get to spread the first words about this insanely wonderful show. It is thrilling for all of us to be here with you tonight to introduce it.”
Scream Queens premieres Tuesday, September 22 on FOX.
