“Cloak & Dagger” Season Finale Recap: God Mode

In “Cloak & Dagger’s” action packed season finale, “Level Up,” Tandy and Tyrone must venture into another dimension to stop Andre, who is collecting New Orleans citizens with the most misery in their lives. Mayhem meets a familiar face, while Andre forces Tandy and Tyrone to confront their darkest fears.

Into the Black We Go | As more and more people start to mysteriously disappear all over the city, Tandy and Ty go to Evita, who tells them that they need to go to the dark world to find and defeat Andre. Evita lights a candle that will keep the doorway open as long as it stays lit, but if it goes out, they’re screwed. But when Tandy and Ty arrive at the gas station, it is torn up and deserted.

Face Your Fears | Eventually, Tandy and Ty get to the record store, but all the records are gone. They go through the locked door, which is now open, and find Andre playing his trumpet to the missing people. He immediately uses his now godlike powers to trap Tandy and Tyrone in two worlds- Tandy must fight her abusive father, while Ty must fight a “perfect” version of himself. As they fight, back in the church, Mayhem arrives to fight off dead cops who Andre somehow summoned to take out the candle.

A Change Would Do You Good | Tandy and Ty decide to fight each other’s fears, as Ty fights Tandy’s dad and Tandy fights the other Ty, but Andre won’t have any of that. He puts them back against their original foes, but Tandy finally stands up to her dad, saying that he won’t devour her life anymore, while Ty tells his perfect self that he can’t achieve perfection.

The two of them then fight Andre, as Tandy uses her light to give him migraines and Ty teleports Tandy so she can stab Andre with a light sword. Not a dagger, a freakin’ sword! Tandy and Ty get out of the dimension unharmed, along with everyone who disappeared. With Mayhem’s help, Tandy clears Ty’s name and exposes Connors’s deceit, and Tandy and Ty decide to leave New Orleans and go to a beach so they can do good and fight evil.
