“Cloak & Dagger” Recap: The Only Exception
“Cloak & Dagger” show runner Joe Pokaski directs this week’s episode, “Vikingtown Squad,” in which Tandy is taken to a harbor for captive women and tries to inspire them to fight back. Andre tries to confront his pain, while Tyrone’s mother confronts Connors.
Good to Go | Tandy wakes up in a room at the Viking Motel, which is harboring captive women, one of whom is Del, who tries to befriend Tandy and convince her that there’s no escape from the motel and that this is the best place for her to be. Del also refuses to leave when presented with the opportunity, which naturally horrifies Tandy.
Meanwhile, Tyrone’s mother has Connors taped to a chair in her kitchen and interrogates him about Billy’s murder, while also cooking crab cakes to calm herself. Connors cooperates, but when Ms. Johnson turns her back, he unsuccessfully tries to escape. When she snaps and considers killing him for revenge, Connors confesses that he buried Billy in a horse stall at the fairground, which seems to calm her down.

DJ Mayhem | Ty is out looking for Tandy and runs into Andre, who uses his records to try to convince Ty that Tandy doesn’t care about him and that he should move on from her. This almost works, until Mayhem arrives in the record shop and starts messing with the records, convincing Ty to go find Tandy.
Speaking of Andre, he goes to see Evita’s aunt to try to find a solution to his never ending pain and she somehow ends up in the record shop with him. She tells him that he can unlock his full godlike potential, but refuses to tell him how. Andre’s response is to play a record with her heartbeat on it and slow it down until she dies.
Hope for the Hopeless | Ty steals an ambulance to go after Tandy after discovering where she is being held. At the motel, Del tells Tandy that the girls who tried to escape were killed, but Tandy realizes that she’s talking about the girls that she and Tyrone freed and that Del is being lied to. Del steals a phone from one of the guards and discovers that her mother, who Lia claimed abandoned her, has been looking for her. Mayhem smashes the records in the record shop, giving Tandy her powers back, which she uses to beat the crap out of Lia and the guards. Ty also arrives and teleports around to save her and deal with more guards, but when they reunite, Ty teleports back to the church and passes out, black smoke radiating from him.
