“Cloak & Dagger” Recap: Not What We Were

“Cloak & Dagger” takes a break from the whole Mayhem thing this week and ends up with a dark and powerful episode in “Alignment Chart.” Tyrone must come face to face with Connors, who’s actions will change everything, while Tandy tries to get through to the domestic violence counselors regarding the missing women.

Making Things Right | After Connors escapes from the church, Ty vows to go after him, but is furious at Tandy for allowing him to escape. Ty teleports to where Connors is and sees him pointing a gun at him, but Connors immediately throws the gun on the ground and offers to turn himself in with evidence that he killed Billy and Fuchs. Ty naturally doesn’t believe him, but Connors insists that he’s had a change of heart in the dark dimension.

Common Ground | Tandy goes to see the domestic violence counselors, Andre and Leah, to get information on the rescued girls. Andre is reluctant to let Tandy talk to them, but Tandy, in a very roundabout plan, tells Leah that she was in a bad relationship and wants her to come help her confront her ex. She ends ups calling Ty to make it look like he’s the ex, but when Ty finds out about Tandy’s plan, he angrily storms off. It wasn’t a lost cause, though, as Leah opens up to Tandy about her ex boyfriend Eric, who runs a drug smuggling operation in New Orleans.

The Monopoly File | Ty takes Connors to his father’s house, where Connors explains that there’s a “Monopoly file” that will exonerate him hidden in the Promenade, a club for the ultra rich. Ty, with O’Reilly’s help, sneaks into the club’s wine cellar where the file is hidden, but doesn’t find the file. Ty is ready to throw Connors over the balcony of the church, but ultimately hands Connors over to his mother so she can judge him.

Tandy finds out where Eric is running drugs and goes to rough up him and his men. When she leaves, Leah is there and asks what Tandy did. Tandy says that she needs to fight back against men who hurt her and take away their power. A powerful moment- that is immediately undercut when Leah knocks out Tandy and shoves her in the back of an ambulance, having been in on the operation the whole time!
