“Cloak & Dagger” Season Finale Recap: It All Goes to Hell

In “Cloak & Dagger’s” season finale, “Colony Collapse,” New Orleans is on the brink of catastrophe and only Tandy and Tyrone can save its citizens, but it may just require the ultimate sacrifice from one of them.

The Last Good One | Picking up from last week’s cliffhanger, Tandy manages to talk down the assassin sent to kill her mom before kicking the crap out of her and chasing her out. Tyrone doesn’t have as much luck with his problems, however, as he gets arrested for Fuchs’s murder along with O’Reilly when she tries to help him escape. Connors arrives to finish them off, but they manage to escape when freaked out people caused by the Roxxon pipes bursting distract the cops, but in the chaos, Tyrone’s cloak gets torn to shreds.

The Divine Pairing | Tandy rescues Mina from being killed by the infected people and they confront Scarborough in the elevator of the Roxxon building. He admits to causing the problem and gives them the address of the source of the pipes, and then Tandy goes in his head and manages to put Scarborough into the same coma Ivan was in. Poetic justice if ever there was any.

Unfortunately, in the escape, Mina gets infected by the mysterious force and Tandy just barely gets out herself. Tyrone meets up with her and in a baffling moment, Evita arrives and explains to them the “divine pairing” idea we’ve spent so much time on and Tandy and Tyrone buy into it immediately! Seriously, because I don’t buy it yet!

Let There Be Mayhem | As Tandy and Tyrone try to get to the source, O’Reilly shoots down a few crazed people to clear the path, but gets the crap beaten out of her by Connors, who shoots a Roxxon pipe next to her and throws her into the river. Connors then goes after Tyrone and in a nerdgasm inducing moment, Tyrone sucks in Connors with dark force energy! Again, great poetic justice!

Tandy and Tyrone manage to somehow shut off the pipes by combing their energies and releasing it up into the sky on top of the New Orleans Superdome. But Tyrone is still on the run and he sets up shop in Tandy’s church, while she moves back in with her mom, showing her a newspaper that exposed Roxxon’s dirty deeds. Oh, and Mina’s still potentially infected, but we don’t see her again! We do see O’Reilly again, as she emerges from the swamp looking crazed and potentially superpowered. Is this the “Mayhem” for season two? We’ll see!
