Whose Line Is It Anyway? returned to impressive ratings when it premiered Tuesday, July 16.
The show came back funnier than ever with a new host (The Talk’s Aisha Tyler), new guest appearances (including The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan and Glee’s Kevin McHale), and on a brand new home on The CW. The main trio of players comprise of Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie, who return from the ABC series for more shenanigans.
Whose Line, which aired for eight seasons on ABC, challenges its players to improv their way through a series of various games including Scenes From a Hat, where the cast must act out scenes based on ideas provided by the audience.
The trifecta of Stiles, Brady and Mochrie are at the top of their game and don’t miss a beat. They are a joy to watch and will definitely bring back viewers who enjoyed watching them on ABC. Add to that the very beautiful and funny Aisha Tyler as host and guest stints from The Vampire Diaries’ Candice Accola and more on the way, turn this improvisation show into an improv sensation.
We’ve screened tonight’s installment featuring our favorite lovable vampire, Candice Accola, whom even with little to no makeup, she is still beautifully stunning. In her first of two segments, Accola is serenaded by Wayne Brady as she dances along with him, and when she returns for her second game, she and guest comedian Keegan-Michael Key (MadTV) play props and morph themselves into a mountain, a hut and a sled among other things.
Populr had the chance to speak with Candice Accola in San Diego and we asked her about what it was like to be on the show.
“The experience was incredible,” she gushed. “It was a show I watched with my family growing up. More than just being fun, it was really sentimental. The 10-year-old that’s still is inside of me was thrilled.”
Whose Line Is It Anyway? airs Tuesdays at 8pm on The CW.
