Among them, Beauty and the Beast, starring Smallville’s Kristin Kreuk who plays Catherine Chandler, a smart, no-nonsense homicide detective.
In the intense clip below, Catherine’s mother is gunned down and the gunmen quickly run after her where she is saved by a mysterious stranger.
Beauty and the Beast airs Thursday nights at 9|8c this fall on The CW.
