Beauty and the Beast EPs Talk Beast Upgrade

beauty-and-the-beast-kristin-kreuk-jay-ryanSeason two of The CW’s Beauty and the Beast will bring many changes. Among them is a new look for Vincent’s beast transformation.

During the San Diego Comic-Con, Executive Producers Sherri Cooper and Jennifer Levin spoke with reporters and shared two reasons for the upgrade.

“The prosthetics are refined,” Sherri reveals. “His prosthetics changed a little bit for two reasons: One is they could’ve been cooler. The [concept] drawings were better than some of the execution at times. We have a new cinematographer who’s shooting him differently.”

“And it’s more comfortable and takes less time for Jay [Ryan],” adds Jennifer. Along with the new and updated face comes a new and updated beast. “He’s better and badder and more lethal.”

Catch Vincent sans scar when Beauty and the Beast returns this fall on The CW.
