The CW on Thursday held their annual Upfront presentation in New York to present their new and returning series for the upcoming season. Among them is the new superhero drama, The Flash.

Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) shows off his super powers in the first clip/promo for the new series, The Flash. The clip shows the speedster whizzing through the busy streets of Central City and saving a bike messenger from becoming road kill.
“A friend recently gave me the idea for a new name,” says his voice-over. “And something tells me it’s gonna catch on.”
Based upon characters published by DC Comics, through a freak accident, scientist Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is given the power of super speed that transforms him into the Fastest Man Alive.

The Flash will air Tuesdays this fall at 8pm followed by the return of Supernatural at 9pm on The CW.
