“Agents of SHIELD” bounced back from last week’s train wreck of an episode in a big way in “The Force of Gravity,” in which Coulson, May and Daisy fight to stop the Confederacy from bombing the Lighthouse. Mack and Yo-Yo go after the unstable Talbot, while FitzSimmons must make a terrible choice.
Just Don’t Lose | The Confederacy imprisons May and Coulson and tells them that they have missiles pointed at the Lighthouse. Daisy manages to escape capture just as Deke comes aboard the alien ship to rescue them. Talbot leaves for Earth in the stolen Quinjet, while May and Deke head to the bridge to disable the missiles and Coulson and Daisy head back to the Zephyr. But not before Coulson and May get a kiss!

Fitz and Simmons develop a cure for Coulson’s ailment with the Centipede serum and Jiaying’s DNA. Fitz reasons that them attempting to save Coulson’s life is what causes the apocalyptic future, so to prevent it, they must succeed in saving Coulson’s life.
Peace and Quiet | Talbot visits Creel in his hospital bed and promises to make the voices stop- by unsurprisingly absorbing him into his body, killing him. He then visits his wife and son, who are rightly horrified at what he is doing. Mack and Yo-Yo arrive to talk him down, but Talbot trashes their cars without lifting a finger and flies off. By episode’s end, he has Robin and her mother captive and asks Robin to tell him where he tears the Earth apart.
Last Ride Home | Coulson and Daisy head for Earth in the Zephyr, while Deke manages to reprogram the missiles to hit the Confederacy’s ship just as he and May beam back to Earth in the teleporter. All seems well, until Coulson collapses. In the SHIELD med bay, Simmons gives everyone the bad news: the Centipede serum that could save Coulson’s life is also the only way to inject poison into Talbot. Either save Coulson, or save the world. And with next week being the season finale and “Avengers: Infinity War’s” ending looming, I don’t think we’re heading towards a happy ending…
