ABC Sets Sail on New Medical Drama “Doctor Odyssey” From Ryan Murphy

Airs Thursdays this Fall on ABC

Thursday nights on ABC are about to get more steamy.

ABC announced Tuesday morning that steamy new medical drama Doctor Odyssey will air Thursdays this fall. Hailing from prolific producer Ryan Murphy, the drama will be sandwiched between his other hit series 9-1-1, which recently made its alphabet debut over from FOX, and the longest-running primetime medical drama in television history, Grey’s Anatomy.

Per the official logline provided by ABC: From the brilliant mind of Ryan Murphy and starring Joshua Jackson and Don Johnson, comes high-octane procedural “Doctor Odyssey.”

Max (Jackson) is the new on-board doctor for a luxury cruise ship where the staff works hard and plays harder. It’s all hands on deck as Max and his small but mighty medical team navigate unique medical crises and each other, miles from shore.

The Thursday fall lineup is as follows:

Thursday
8:00 p.m. “9-1-1”
9:00 p.m. “Doctor Odyssey”
10:00 p.m. “Grey’s Anatomy”

In addition to Jackson and Johnson, the series also stars Phillipa Soo (“Hamilton,” “Shining Girls“).
