We are just two weeks away from Cassie Blake’s destiny being revealed to her when the series premiere of The Secret Circle makes its debut on Thursday, September 15th, at 9|8c following the season 3 premiere of The Vampire Diaries.
Today we bring you part 2 of our San Diego Comic Con interviews with the cast of The Secret Circle.
We all know that the cast watched 1996’s The Craft during downtime on the set for research, but we also wanted to know if they researched the source material, The Secret Circle book trilogy from The Vampire Diaries scribe L.J. Smith.

“When I first got the role, I haven’t read any of L.J. Smith’s books,” Brittany Robertson (Cassie) tells us. “Shortly between booking [the show] and shooting, I scrambled to try to get through them all so I had a base of what the show really was.”
Watch the video below to hear what Thomas Dekker and Natasha Henstridge had to say. Brittany Robertson looked really nervous talking to us during her entire interview (she’s a Comic Con newbie). It’s so adorable!
