According to Deadline Executive Producer Richard Hatem has left The Secret Circle for creative differences.
On July 28th Hatem updated his Facebook page with a post saying “It was a fun experience and a very friendly departure.”
The news of his departure comes just days after he and fellow EP’s Kevin Williamson and Andrew Miller along with three of the show’s lead actors presented the show at the 2011 San Diego Comic Con.
We spoke to Hatem at Comic Con and he was very enthusiastic and passionate about the project. We were also fans of his short-lived summer show on ABC titled “The Gates”.
We are very sad to see him leave but also excited for his new show he will be developing this fall through a development deal with Warner Bros. Television. And with his previous credits including Supernatural and Tru Calling, we’re betting his new show will also be a bit supernatural.
Maybe we’ll see him again at next year’s Comic Con!
“Llife goes on, in a very good way,” says Hatem.
Rowell was born and raised on Maui, Hawai’i, and now lives in the almost-as-green Pacific Northwest. He’s obsessed with Cirque du Soleil, loves teen dramas (especially those with a supernatural element) and horror movies, and is addicted to sushi. Prior to PopWire, he created individual fan sites for the shows Friends, Hellcats, Nikita and others, which led to creating and working on OMFGTV.
