The 100’s First “Messed Up” Major Death

featured-100-cast

From being born and raised in space on the Ark space station, to dying and being buried down on Earth; it’s kind of poetic, don’t you think? In the new hit CW series The 100, we’ve already lost two lives from the series premiere, and coming this Wednesday, the bloodshed will only continue.

A big death will occur on Wednesdays episode of The 100 “Earth Kills” and it’s one that will send shock waves to viewers. Why? Because the death is of a main player, a major character whom we never thought would meet this fate so early on during the series. “[The show] needs to feel like there’s real-world stakes in it and that important characters can die,” Executive Producer Matt Miller told us. In other words: No one is safe!

We’re not allowed to reveal who comes to their untimely end on the April 2 installment, but we did compile a list of characters, one whose journey on Earth may come to a close.

CLARKE | Bellamy (Bob Morley) is determined to get Clarke’s (Eliza Taylor) wristband. The Ark already thinks Wells (Eli Goree) is dead. Bellamy explains that if they also think Clarke is dead, they’ll never come down from the space station. “I’m getting that wristband, even if I have to cut off her hand to do it,” Bellamy says. But how far will he go? Is he so desperate that he will kill Clarke?

BELLAMY | Ever since Bellamy landed on earth, he’s been calling the shots. He quickly formed a following with acolytes obeying his every command. But with other natural-born leaders on Earth, power struggles are inevitable. Will others not on his side find a way to finish him and become the ruler of all? Does he have a follower secretly conspiring against him who will ultimately end his life?

OCTAVIA | There’s a saying: Curiosity killed the cat. Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) is that cat and she is oh, so curious. We’ve already watched in horror as she was attacked by a giant river snake after going for a swim in an unknown river. We’ve also seen her follow a beautiful, blue butterfly into unknown territory. As far as we know, she can be easily distracted. One of those butterflies could have just as easily lure her into a trap just like the one Clarke almost fell into.

JASPER | Jasper (Devon Bostick) may have been rescued by Clarke, Finn (Thomas McDonell), Wells, and Bellamy, but his injuries are severely life-threatening. It becomes a race against the clock for them to find an antibiotic that will help save Jasper’s life, but will they make back in time?

MONTY | “You’re too important,” Clarke tells Monty (Christopher Larkin). “You were raised on farm station and recruited by engineering. What’s up here,” she says pointing to Monty’s head, “is going to save us all.” But with Monty (Team Clarke) secretly trying to hard-wire the wristbands to make communication with the Ark, will Bellamy or one of his minions discover his plan and kill him before he’s able to make contact?

JOHN | As for Bellamy’s right-hand man, John (Richard Harmon), who doesn’t want him dead? 😉

Aside from the threats the hundred face with each other, there are also a number of unknown threats on Earth: Deadly, mutant-animals; menacing smoke monsters fog; and of course, the mysterious Grounders.

You won’t want to miss the big OMFG moment that we lovingly call “totally messed up.”

The 100 “Earth Kills” on Wednesday, April 2, at 9pm on The CW.
