Welcome back to Wausau. As the mystery deepens, Revival continues to blend supernatural horror with grounded, emotional storytelling, and Episode 6, titled “Bloodlines,” is no exception. Written by series creators Aaron B. Koontz and Luke Boyce and directed by Samir Rehem, this chapter pushes both mythology and character arcs into darker, more desperate territory. With haunting flashbacks, tense standoffs, and one hell of a final act, Bloodlines is a turning point in the series and a reminder that the past never stays buried for long.

Episode 6 kicks off with a flashback to Em’s birth, an intense, emotional moment that sheds light on her complicated start in life. Roughly twenty years earlier, her parents grapple with a frightening medical emergency as Em’s diagnosis is revealed. It’s a raw scene that adds layers to her backstory, just as we cut to present-day Em, covered in blood and visibly furious.

Back in the present, Dana is recovering in the hospital when Brent wakes her to speak with reporter May Tao, who is investigating the files from the Blackdeer case. It is a subtle but important callback that reminds us of Dana’s history and how much unfinished business she still has.

At the hospital, Ibrahim pores over his slides of the algal bloom, still trying to piece together the science behind what’s happening in Wausau. Meanwhile, Dana receives visits from both Lester, who brings flowers, and Wayne, who shows up with her favorite donuts. The nurse scolds Wayne for the sugar delivery. As they talk, Dana points out that the real shooter would have an injured right shoulder, something McCray doesn’t have. That alone tells her he’s not the one who shot her. Wayne, clearly weighed down by guilt, urges Dana to leave town once this all blows over, but she’s not going anywhere. Not yet.

Back at the Cypress house, Em, Cooper, and Jordan are playing a board game when Jordan steps out of the room and glances out the window. Standing right outside the house is Adam Check, watching them with a menacing stare. The moment is brief but chilling; the danger is no longer looming, it’s right at their door.

At the station, McCray is being interrogated for Dana’s shooting. He denies pulling the trigger and admits only to transporting Reviver body parts that were being sold, nothing more. Meanwhile, Wayne is shown a disturbing video of Rhodey performing at The Shed, where he slices open his chest mid-set in front of a crowd. Furious, Wayne tracks him down and brings him to a place called Riverside.

Back at the hospital, Dana hands Ibrahim the donuts her dad brought earlier and lightens the mood with a Harry and the Hendersons quote. Things turn serious as she asks him to check in on Em and the kids while she recovers. Ibrahim heads to the Cypress house but finds it empty, with a knife stabbed into the wall. He quickly calls Dana, and they both realize something is wrong. Em and the kids are gone.

At the Checks’ warehouse, Em is chained up and looks almost feral; bloodied, bruised, and furious. Adam and Blaine mock her, referring to Jordan as “collateral damage” and revealing their twisted plan. They don’t want to kill Em. Instead, they want to make her the face of their boss’s new business venture. Whatever this scheme is, it’s bigger than just revenge; it’s calculated, and Em is at the center of it.

At the hospital, Brent is by Dana’s side when she gets a call from Anthony Check. He lays out the stakes: they’ve taken Cooper, and Dana must deliver Em across the border if they want him back. Dana agrees to the terms, then lightens the tension with a punch to Brent’s arm and gets a “pterodactyl shot” from the nurse. But when Brent returns a short while later with his right arm bleeding, Dana puts the pieces together—he’s the one who shot her. A brutal fight breaks out, ending with Dana smashing a TV over Brent’s head and killing him. Major props to Melanie Scrofano for the intense and well-choreographed action in this scene.

Dana leaves the hospital and follows Anthony Check’s instructions to intercept one of the trucks, while Wayne searches for the other. She catches up to the wrong truck, it’s not the one with Em, but forces the driver to lie to Anthony and say they successfully made it across the border. From him, Dana learns that Cooper is being held at a refrigeration warehouse and heads there next.

At the warehouse, chaos erupts. Em has flipped her truck, killed the driver, and is now stalking through the facility looking wild and unhinged. Meanwhile, Jordan has been chained to a chair. As the lights go out and red emergency lights flash, Em begins hunting down everyone inside.

Jordan manages to free herself and runs straight into Ibrahim in a stairwell. He gets her to safety while Em continues hunting down the Check family one by one, storming through the warehouse with ruthless precision. Meanwhile, we cut to Moore Creek. The water bubbles violently, glowing with light, and we hear those same eerie sounds from earlier. Whatever is in the creek is moving, making its way through the forest once again.

Dana spots Cooper but is ambushed by Anthony, who stabs her several times, leaving her on the ground. Just when it looks like things couldn’t get worse, Em storms in, wild with rage. She takes Anthony down in a savage fight, ultimately brutally killing him. Em then unties Cooper, helping him up and making sure he knows how to get out.

As Cooper escapes, Em turns to her sister, finding Dana dying on the floor, blood pooling around her. Overwhelmed, Em breaks down, crying a single blood tear. Then, something shifts. She places her hands over Dana’s wounds, and miraculously, they begin to heal. Whatever force brought the dead back is now flowing through Em, and she uses it to save her sister’s life.

Outside the warehouse, Cooper makes it out just in time to witness something massive and glowing emerging from the forest, the same eerie presence connected to Moore Creek and the strange sounds that have haunted the town. Jordan steps toward it without fear. She turns to Cooper, thanking him for being kind to her. Then, in a moment both heartbreaking and surreal, she dematerializes and disappears with the Passenger. Whatever this force is, it’s not done with Wausau, and it’s just claimed another soul.
