With only one episode left, Loki is really teeing up a grand finale with glorious purpose! In this week’s episode, the aptly titled “Journey Into Mystery,” Loki must find a way out of a strange environment and make unusual alliances, while Sylvie tries to get information from Ravonna.
A Loki Convention | After being disintegrated, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) ends up in a deserted landscape with destroyed buildings everywhere and various versions of himself who take him to their hideout to avoid Eliath, the living storm that destroys everything in its path.
Back at the TVA, Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) interrogates Ravonna (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), who reveals that disintegrating someone sends them to a void at the end of time where they can never return. Ravonna appears to want to help Sylvie, but of course screws her over and corners her with her men, causing Sylvie to disintegrate herself and get sent to the void.
A Personal Encounter | Loki and his variants, Classic Loki (Richard E. Grant), Kid Loki (Jack Veal) and Boastful Loki (Deobia Oparei), along with an alligator Loki, because why not, sit around in their hideout, until another Loki arrives and Boastful Loki reveals himself to be aligned with him in exchange for power.
All the Lokis fight each other, but Loki leaves in the chaos and tries to slay Eliath. Sylvie wakes up in the void being chased by Eliath, but she uses her magic to see a castle when she touches Eliath’s smoke. She is then rescued by Mobius (Owen Wilson) in a pizza delivery car and they drive to find Loki and his variants.
Glorious Purpose | Sylvie tells Loki that because of what she saw, she can enchant Eliath and get it to take them to the castle, where she thinks the true rulers of the TVA are. As the Lokis hatch their plan, Ravonna contacts Miss Minutes (Tara Strong) to warn the true rulers of the TVA that they are in danger.
Sylvie gives Mobius a portal back to the TVA and he promises to burn the place to the ground as he returns. As Kid Loki and Classic Loki abandon Loki and Sylvie, they try to get close to Eliath to enchant it, but Classic Loki has a change of heart and distracts the storm before it kills him. This gives Loki and Sylvie just enough time to enchant the storm and it opens a portal to the castle that they enter.
