The fourth season of The Vampire Diaries is now available to own on DVD and Blu-Ray and during the San Diego Comic-Con this past summer, we wanted to look back with the cast and ask about their favorite scene of the season.
OMFGtv asked series star Paul Wesley of the scene he loved the most and unsurprisingly, it involved the season-ending cliffhanger.
“The final moment where [Silas] threw Stefan off the cliff,” Wesley shared was his favorite. He loved it because while the cast is used to props and sets, a lot that went into shooting this scene was very real. “That was an actual safe; that was an actual cliff; and I actually thew the safe off the cliff,” he revealed.
“Just morphing into this character, even for 10 seconds, was nice,” he adds. We suspect Season Five will be a blast for the star as he’ll be morphing into the character of Silas for much longer.
As for throwing that very real safe off of that very real cliff, Wesley had one last thing to say about that moment: “It was really empowering.”
