In the finale of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, absolutely nothing is left on the table. It’s an action packed and powerful ride of an episode that has huge implications for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Let’s dive in!
The New Cap | With Karli (Erin Kellyman) and her men holding the senators about to vote to relocate the displaced people from the Blip, Sam (Anthony Mackie) finally dons a badass looking Captain America suit with Falcon wings attached and flies in to help evacuate the senators with Bucky (Sebastian Stan) and Sharon’s (Emily VanCamp) help. Sam gets held up by Batroc (Georges St. Pierre), who wants revenge, while Karli and her crew hijack the trucks evacuating the senators and lock the truck’s doors.
Stop Fighting | After Sam helps land a helicopter with senators inside that the Flag Smashers took over, Bucky catches up to Karli and fights her men, while she sets one of the trucks on fire to distract him. Just then, Walker (Wyatt Russell) storms onto the scene in his Cap uniform with a homemade shield to try to save the day, but he gets his ass kicked. As Bucky saves the burning truck, Karli takes the other truck and drives it off the edge of a construction site pit, but Sam flies in and saves it as the world sees him as Captain America.
Sam, Bucky and Sharon go after Karli underground and Sharon corners Karli and reveals herself to be the Power Broker! Batroc arrives and in turn reveals that Sharon hired him to spy on Karli. A shootout occurs and Batroc gets shot, while Sharon takes one in the knee. Sam arrives to stop Karli, but she is having none of it and when Sam refuses to fight her, she tries to shoot him. But Sharon shoots Karli and she dies in Sam’s arms.
Making a Difference | Sam brings Karli’s body out and then gives a rousing speech to the senators urging them to change their minds on the vote, telling them that they have the power to make change and the Blip made everyone experience the helplessness that most of the world feels. Karli’s remaining men get arrested, but their convoy is blown up by a mysterious figure who might be working for Zemo (Daniel Bruhl).
As Walker meets Valentina (Julia Louis Dreyfus) and suits up as the US Agent, Bucky tells his landlord Yori (Ken Takemoto) that he was responsible for his son’s murder. Sam meets Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly), who saw Sam’s speech on TV and was inspired. Sam takes him to the Captain America exhibit at the Smithsonian to show him a section of the exhibit about him and his exploits so the world will know what he did.
During the credits, Sharon finally gets her pardon from the government, but soon after, makes a call telling her buyers that she’s open for business…
