Debris continues in its thrilling, trippy and crazy second episode, “You Are Not Alone,” proving that last week’s pilot wasn’t a one trick pony. Bryan and Finola are dispatched to find the cause of a ring of metal forming around a town, while Maddox presses Ferris for information on their enemy. Bryan has a personal encounter, while Finola deals with her sister.
Ring of Metal | This week’s episode kicks off in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, as a bunch of random metal objects begin to be pulled away from the abandoned town and form a large pile a few miles away. Bryan (Jonathan Tucker) informs Finola (Riann Steele) that Pennsylvania is the birthplace of the marshmallow Peeps, while Finola texts her sister about dividing her father’s estate, which obviously affects Bryan. They arrive at the town, where the metal is forming a ring around the town to keep everyone out- or in- and Bryan and Finola also run into a man named Eric (David Alpay), who not only is incredibly frantic, but can’t seem to remember his last name.
Finola orders an agent to take him into custody, but as she and Bryan continue to explore the abandoned town, they find him again, now with blood on his shirt. He says he has to get to a presentation before running off and Finola and Bryan chase after him, with Finola catching him in a warehouse. When she informs Bryan of this, he tells her that he has a second Eric in custody, in addition to the Eric that was taken away earlier!

Eric Squared | Bryan interrogates one of the Erics, while Finola and another agent talk to the others. Each one is rambling on and on about completely different subjects before two of the Erics go into cardiac arrest while Finola’s Eric asks her about a ball of light and starts talking about a woman he once loved. They identify Eric, seeing pictures of him with a woman on his social media and Finola theorizes that the clones are all different parts of Eric’s personality and that two of them died because the real Eric is hurt.
When Bryan and Finola are informed that the center of the circle of metal around the town is Eric’s house, they go there in HAZMAT suits to find a piece of Debris in the basement. While Finola finds yet another Eric hiding outside, Bryan goes upstairs to find a clone of himself pointing a gun at him! Bryan shoots and kills the clone, but finds a picture of a woman in the clone’s pocket, while Finola finds a blood trail leading the garage where Eric’s car is missing. Finola theorizes that the Erics that died are unimportant parts of Eric’s personality that he is surrendering to hold onto the most important part of himself. As they talk, more and more Eric clones appear in the house, but these ones are fused together.
Stay | After Finola calls her sister, DeeDee, and the pair talk about their father’s suicide, Bryan and Finola track down Eric’s car and find it in the middle of the ring around the town with the original Eric knocked out and injured inside. As Bryan tries to get him out, a ball of light begins to fly around the ring of metal, crushing the metal and the car, before the team at Eric’s house manages to disable the Debris, stopping the light.
Bryan frees Eric and he suddenly has the urge to call a woman driving out of town and ask her to stay. After Maddox (Norbert Leo Butz) learns from Ferris (Anjali Jay) that the men who have been buying Debris are working for a group called Influx, he calls Bryan to inform him that they’re digging up George Jones’s body- just Finola buys Bryan some Peeps.
Debris airs Mondays on NBC.
