Debris just keeps getting crazier and cooler! In this week’s episode, “Solar Winds,” Bryan and Finola must find a way to free people trapped inside a mysterious void that acts similarly to the Bermuda Triangle, while Maddox gets closer to uncovering the mystery surrounding George’s death. You don’t want to miss this one!

The Square | An electrical worker in Ohio is communicating with her coworkers when the radio signal turns to static and she sees a mysterious square of energy with shapes of people inside it trying to get out. At Orbital HQ in Langley, Virginia, Bryan (Jonathan Tucker) undergoes a physical after his dramatic incident last week and gets the A-OK from the doctor, while Maddox (Norbert Leo Butz) informs him that George Jones’s body will be exhumed tomorrow and once again enforces Bryan to keep it a secret from Finola (Riann Steele). When the two of them arrive at the site of the Square, it has vanished, but the electrical worker filmed a video of the phenomenon. As Finola is reviewing the footage, her device that reads Debris signatures suddenly transmits the voice of a woman asking for help.

The Theory | The Square reappears and Finola reprograms the device to project her voice to the woman inside, who identifies herself as Nicole Hegmann (Sarah Desjardin). Finola asks her who the others in there with her are, but she says no one is there before the Square disappears again. Bryan checks on Nicole’s info and finds out that she vanished in Michigan a year before the Debris started falling from the sky. As Maddox meets with a Russian contact to exchange information on a specific piece of Debris that they have in the warehouse, Finola shows Bryan a lecture from George (Tyrone Benskin) theorizing about pockets of unknown dimensions hidden all over the world.

Bryan notices that two of the points on his map are the location of the Square and the place where Nicole vanished. After consulting Muntz (Matthew McCaull), a very strange Debris tech agent, he thinks that Nicole’s emotional state is what causing her to reach out through the Square and so Bryan and Finola have Nicole’s father, Richard (Christopher Shyer) flown in to try to communicate with her. Richard says that he’s been dreaming of reuniting with Nicole and when he tries to communicate with her, Nicole says that she’s only been lost in the Square for a few hours before it vanishes again.

Stabilizing the Connection | Maddox is informed by Director Harris Grohl (Todd Thomson) that a Russian person of interest was spotted and it turns out to be the same guy Maddox met with, but of course, he doesn’t tell Grohl that! Bryan and Finola finally find a chunk of Debris in the woods nearby, next to an empty truck with Influx agents hiding in the woods nearby, who vanish before Bryan can find them. When Muntz finds the Debris, he thinks it should be taken back to Orbital for study, but Finola orders him to bring it closer to the Square to try to free Nicole.

When they do so, they see Nicole and a bunch of other people inside the Square, which starts to shrink when Finola brings a piece of the Debris into the Square and manages to bring Nicole out of it, along with the others trapped there, many of which have been there for decades. As Nicole is being checked out by doctors, she tells Richard that she also dreamed of their reunion, which makes Bryan think. Meanwhile, Maddox is sent footage of Finola taking George’s watch off his corpse after he was brought to the morgue, after which 24 minutes skip from the tape and the watch reappears on his wrist, proving that George’s death was faked.

Debris airs Mondays at 10pm on NBC.
