“Agents of SHIELD” Recap: Nothing Personal

After last week’s cliffhanger, “Agents of SHIELD” gets just as intense and high stakes in “Collision Course Part Two.” Daisy, May, Deke and Snowflake must fend for themselves and somehow diffuse an atom bomb, while Sarge takes over Zephyr-1 as part of his master plan to kill Izel, with FitzSimmons in the crossfire.

Sarge’s Exit Strategy | Sarge frees Jaco and Pax and tasks Pax with tracking down Yo-Yo. Sarge and Jaco handcuff Mack and order Davis to fly towards the incoming spaceship that Izel is on. On the ground, with Deke unable to diffuse the atom bomb aboard the truck, May, Daisy and Snowflake prepare for the end- until Daisy manages to use her powers to suspend the bomb in midair as the truck crashes into the shrike tower. Unfortunately, this doesn’t kill the shrike, but turns them back into bats who attack the truck.

Mayday | Aboard Izel’s ship, Fitz and Simmons send an alert to the Zephyr after quickly realizing that Izel is infecting the crew. Once she realizes that they’re asking for help, she sends her infected crew after them, just as Yo-Yo manages to knock out Pax and convince him to turn on Sarge. Mack breaks free and has an impressive fight with Sarge, which is dangerously held over the important consoles of the plane, but Mack wins out and knocks out Sarge.

How the Tables Turn | Mack takes the Zephyr aboard Izel’s ship with Yo-Yo, Davis and Jaco in tow, as Daisy uses her powers to disintegrate the attacking shrike. Mack and Yo-Yo rescue FitzSimmons and they escape to the truck using one of Sarge’s portals. Jaco takes the atom bomb and goes back to the ship, sacrificing himself to destroy the ship as it enters space in a big kaboom.

The SHIELD team has a well-earned victory party, where Deke reunites with his grandparents, much to Fitz’s shock. Daisy also orders that Snowflake be locked up, despite the fact that she helped them, due to the murders she was involved with, that were mostly Sarge’s fault. After the party, Mack apologizes to Yo-Yo and they kiss and make up. The same can not be said for May and Sarge: May walks into Sarge’s cell and shoots him in the head! Didn’t see that coming!
