In “Cloak & Dagger’s” last episode before its dramatic season finale, “Blue Note” has Tandy and Mayhem clash on how to find Andre. Ty uses his own methods to achieve the task, while Andre’s past is revealed.
The First Record | As with most shows, this episode gives us periodic flashbacks to Andre’s past throughout the episode. Andre was a jazz trumpet player, who was trying to hit the “blue note,” the ultimate achievement in music. Unfortunately, his migraines ended his jazz career and he jumps off a rooftop at the moment of the Roxxon oil rig explosion. This leaves him with his despair sucking powers, as he meets Lia in the hospital and convinces her to open the counseling center to suck misery from young women.

Through the Door | Ty makes contact with the young man who was involved in the drug running operation and gets him to set up a meet between Ty and the leaders of the operation. Meanwhile, Tandy teams up with Mayhem to investigate Andre’s whereabouts and they find the comatose Lia on the side of the road. They take her back to the church, where Tandy uses her powers to see her in a black world with a glowing door.
Ty and Tandy go through the door and see a young Lia playing the cello looking hopeful. As they walk through Lia’s memories, Andre appears and speaks to them, telling them that he deserves an audience to suck their pain away and become a god.
An Audience | As Ty intimidates the drug runners to find out where Andre is, Mayhem tries to finish off Lia, but Tandy fights her and gets her to back off. Ty finds out the location of the jazz club where Andre used to play and both of them agree to kill him to save everyone. But when they arrive at the club, they find out that the original club burned down and Andre isn’t at the rebuilt version. Fortunately, Ty teleports them to the burnt ruins of the club, where they find hordes of people, including Tandy’s mother, hypnotized by Andre’s trumpet. Tandy throws a dagger into Andre’s chest, but he and all of the other people in the club vanish, and I’m not talking “Infinity War” style, they’re just gone! Andre ends up in his record sho, finally going through the locked door, as Tandy and Ty hear music coming from the sky…
