“Runaways” turns up the character drama to 11 in “Bury Another,” as Karolina discovers a devastating secret, Gert makes a move that could end her relationship with Chase and Geoffrey has an encounter with Jonah.
Kicked to the Curb | After dropping Robert off with the Pride, Jonah is looking a little worse for wear. He tells the Pride that he will be leaving Earth in his spaceship and that he expects all of them to show up at the dig site to help him launch the ship- except for the Wilders, who Jonah says have fulfilled their purpose. When Dale and Stacey point out that Jonah’s ship could cause a California-ending earthquake, Jonah shrugs it off and says their calculations were wrong.

We Were On a Break | Karolina talks with Leslie about Jonah and Leslie warns her about Jonah’s treachery, telling her that Jonah was the one who killed Amy.
When she gets back to the Hostel, Karolina talks to Alex and asks if she should tell Nico a huge secret. Alex points out that the last time he told Nico a secret about Amy, she ended up hating his guts, which doesn’t help Karolina’s case.
Meanwhile, Chase gets a call from Gert at the hospital and goes to pick her up, where he sees that Gert called Janet in an effort to get her to talk to Chase. Chase wants nothing to do with her, but Janet warns them about Jonah’s plans with the spaceship and that he’s going to need another sacrifice to stay alive. When they get back to the Hostel, Chase is so pissed at Gert, that he moves out of their shared bedroom. Ouch.
Rescue Mission | While Geoffrey is working out, he gets knocked out by Jonah who takes him to the energy box and tries to drain energy from him to heal himself. The Runaways, who break into the room to stop Jonah from sacrificing someone, interrupt the process and manage to take Geoffrey with them. During this, Chase sees the comatose Victor in Jonah’s lab and wants to save him, but they are forced to leave.
Alex ties up Geoffrey at the Hostel and tries to get information from him about Jonah’s plans. Janet manages to sneak into Jonah’s lab and wake up Victor, telling him that they’ve got work to do. That night, Karolina confesses to Nico that she’s been seeing Jonah, which Nico is remarkably okay with- until Karolina reveals that Jonah killed Amy, which shocks Nico as the episode ends.
