“Cloak & Dagger” takes the characters, and the viewers, to dark and uncomfortable places in “Back Breaker.” O’Reilly loses her composure after Fuchs’s death, while the devastated Tandy reverts to her old ways. Tyrone’s issues with his mother come to a head, while Evita makes a shocking discovery.
Old Habits | After burning her father out of her family photo, Tandy starts scamming rich guys again, this time with the added twist of using her powers to steal people’s hopes and get high off what she sees. She even does this to Mina for no apparent reason other than she’s angry. Not cool. She finally bails out Liam with the Roxxon money and takes him to the church where she lives to do the same to him.

Meanwhile, Tyrone gets into a fight at school and is sent to Father Delgado, and when Tyrone touches him, he sees Delgado having seemingly killed kids in a drunken car accident. During this, Tyrone sees Tandy in the church stealing Liam’s hopes.
The Worst Thing that Ever Happened | O’Reilly is drowning her sorrows about Fuchs at a bar, when Connors walks in, having somehow talked his way out of jail. Okay, explain to me how that works! He confessed to killing someone and goes free??? Naturally, O’Reilly beats the crap out of him, but Connors kicks her ass worse as the bar full of cops do jack all to stop it and actually at one point hold O’Reilly back. Protect and serve, my ass.
Hero’s Arc | Tandy confronts Tyrone at school while he is with Evita and she tries to steal Evita’s hopes, but Evita somehow resists and runs away. After Tandy and Tyrone have a blowout, Tyrone goes home to his mother and they have a tearful talk about letting the anger over Billy’s death go. Just then, the police arrive to arrest Tyrone for Fuchs’s murder and Tyrone bails out the back door.
Mina is working on a Roxxon pipe that bursts and drives the two workers insane just like on the rig and they chase after Mina. Tandy goes back to see her mom, but her mom is being held up at gunpoint by the woman who killed Greg. As she’s about to kill Tandy’s mother, Tandy’s hands starts glowing. Cut to black.
