“The 100” Recap: How Far Will Octavia Go?

This week’s episode of The 100 saw Octavia take an even darker turn, Abby’s addiction struggles, and how Madi is handling the flame. ‘The Warriors Will’ was written by Shawna and Julie Benson and directed by the shows own Henry Ian Cusick.

Pills | At the Eligius camp, Abby (Paige Turco) is struggling with withdrawl from her pills, but refuses to help McCreary (William Miller) to get them. Vinson (Mike Dopud) comes in for his “2 hour checkup” to try to help Abby.

It works, he gets her pills, but the guards notice. Before they can alert anyone, Vinson goes full vampire on them and bites out their throats to help Abby. Abby’s got her pills, and she takes them all.

Becca’s Death | Madi (Lola Flanery) and Clarke (Eliza Taylor) are in the rover on their way to go tell Diyoza (Ivana Milicevic) the eye is down so that Octavia can’t attack because she’ll lose the element of surprise, but on the way Madi begins dreaming of the past commanders. She sees how Becca Promheda died, she was burned to death. As they continue towards the Valley, Madi continues to have more dreams.

Clarke also discovers that the worm eggs are still in the rover and throws them out, because that’s not an awful idea or anything. When they get to the Valley they see McCreary asking defectors where Diyoza is, then killing them when he doesn’t get the answers he wants. Clarke finds out from a surviving defector where her mom is, and Madi kills the man before he can say anything to anyone. When they find Abby it may be too late. She’s unconscious and holding an empty pill bottle. We really don’t know whether she’s alive or not.

Lilly Pad | Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) knows she has to put Gaia (Tati Gabrielle), Indra (Adina Porter), and Bellamy (Bob Morley) into the pit to fight for their lives, but she is really struggling with it. She goes to Indra to ask for advice, to see if there was another way to get her people to follow her to war without the pit battle, but Indra knows there isn’t. Then she goes to Monty (Christopher Larkin) to try to get him to help break Bellamy out, but Monty refuses if it means more will have to die. He, instead, gives O an alternative.

The hydrofarm is thriving thanks to his algae, and it’s enough for all of Wonkru to survive off of. They can stay at the bunker in Polis and avoid war, but Octavia doesn’t hear it. Finally, she goes to her brother and reminds him of how he used to play with her and protect her when she was little, so why did he poison her? Obviously, Bellamy was trying to save her from herself, but O doesn’t see it that way. She tries to give him tips on how to defeat Indra, but he tells her that he won’t fight.

When it’s time for the fight, all three do end up fighting for their lives, but Gaia takes a shot at Octavia by throwing a spear at her and almost striking her. Before the fight can resume, Monty and Harper (Chelsey Reist) storm in and tell Wonkru the truth about the hydrofarm.

Once her people realize she’s kept this information from them, Octavia loses whatever loyalty she had left. Sensing she was about to lose her power, she went down to Monty’s farm and burned it. Now Wonkru has no choice but to march on Shallow Valley and go to war with Diyoza.
