“The 100” Recap: Sh*t Hits the Fan

Things really took a turn in this week’s new episode of The CW’s The 100! We see things get tense in Shallow Valley, but where it gets really crazy is Polis. Octavia may not recover from Bellamy’s poisoning, who will lead Wonkru if she can’t? ‘Sic Semper Tyrannis’ was written by Miranda Kwok and directed by Ian Samoil.

Murphy’s Best Work | Things between Diyoza’s (Ivana Milicevic) ranks are heating up, McCreary (William Miller) knows Diyoza wants him dead, and so do his buddies. Diyoza is trying to hide it from him that Abby (Paige Turco) has found a cure to their lung disease. She wants to wait for him to die before she heals everyone else. But Murphy (Richard Harmon) knows he needs to get his people out of the valley soon, so he tells McCreary about the cure, hoping to insight a fight. When McCreary confronts Diyoza about the cure she comes clean(ish) and says she’s going to make sure everyone gets healed. When he realizes he may not get the distraction he needs, Murphy throws a rock into the mix, igniting a war between Diyoza’s people and McCreary’s. Though most of Diyoza’s people are able to escape, McCreary takes Abby hostage so that she can heal him and all his men. This happens AFTER he finds out that Diyoza is pregnant with his child, a girl. Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) finds the SpaceKru kids plus Shaw (Jordan Bolger) before they escape and reveal that there is a plan for peace, and that McCreary has Abby. Murphy makes an uncharacteristic move and decides to stay behind to rescue Abby.

A New Heda? | In the bunker, Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) is not getting any better and is at risk of dying. Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Indra (Adina Porter) have a plan to get everyone to the valley safely, Indra will lead Wonkru and surrender for peace. But Miller (Jarod Joseph) and others aren’t too keen on that idea. Bellamy goes to Plan B, something Clarke (Eliza Taylor) is very much against. He and Indra want to make Madi (Lola Flannery) the new Commander. Gaia (Tati Gabrielle) performs the ceremony, putting the Flame in Madi, giving her the knowledge of all the past Commanders.

Octavia does indeed wake up, and she’s PISSED. She knows her brother poisoned her, and thanks to Niylah (Jessica Harmon), Clarke is freed and able to go to O to try to stop the ascension from happening. Octavia interrupts the ascension ceremony after the Flame has been given to Madi, but Madi is unconscious as the memories from all the Commanders is basically uploaded to her brain. Octavia allows Clarke to take Madi to the rover, with a guard, so that they can leave without anyone knowing she’s a nightblood. But O went back on her word and ordered the guard to kill them. But Madi wakes up, proves she is Heda by mentioning Lexa and the guards family history. He knows she is the true commander, but Clarke knows that’s too big of a risk and kills him.

Octavia is forced to put Bellamy, Indra, and Gaia into the ring for their treasonous actions, but when she closes the door and is alone we see how much of a toll this is taking on her. She breaks and cries over what she must do.
