“Agents of SHIELD” nearly kills all momentum it had going this season in “The One Who Will Save Us All,” one of the dumbest episodes the series has ever delivered. A power mad Talbot tries to renegotiate terms with the Confederacy, leading to a divide between him and Coulson. Daisy tries to get Simmons to help save Coulson’s life, while Mack confronts Fitz about his role in Ruby’s death.
The Two Best Minds | So, yes, Talbot is a Gravitonium infused madman and he takes Coulson aboard the Confederacy’s ship to kill them all. And by kill them all, I mean kill one redshirt bodyguard and force the rest to swear to him. This is the worst plan ever!
Back on Earth, Daisy returns to the Lighthouse with her mother’s remains and Yo-Yo is rightly horrified to see the skeleton. Daisy responds by actually beating the crap out of Yo-Yo! Why are they fighting? Daisy was acting on orders from May! This entire episode is predicated on zero logic!

Six Seats at the Table | Talbot meets with the rest of the Confederacy, while Coulson talks shop with the imprisoned Hale, trying to get her to help him. Yes, Coulson is trusting the HYDRA officer who has been nothing but horrible to him. I’m this close to a face palm right now.
Talbot is told by a senior Kasius family member that Thanos is coming to kill the planet and Talbot’s response is to return to Earth and singlehandedly take on Thanos!!! That’s it: Facepalm time!
Behind Enemy Lines | Mack manages to install gravity thrusters on the Zephyr that can get it to fly to space. May and Daisy storm the bridge of the alien ship to rescue Coulson and Talbot accuses Coulson of betraying him. Again, no logic. He kills Hale, the only good thing to come out of this episode, and knocks out Daisy and hands her over to Kasius Sr. and imprisons May and Coulson.
This one hurt, folks. This episode just took every dumb turn the show could take and unfortunately, it seems this is the direction we’re going in for the last two episodes of the season. Oh boy…
“Agents of SHIELD” airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
