The CW’s Gossip Girl ended its six-season run Monday night and now the network plans to fill that void with its new series, The Carrie Diaries.
The new mid-season entry, Diaries, is based on the prequel to the Sex and the City series and stars AnnaSophia Robb as the titular Carrie Bradshaw.
Now that we are less than a month away from when this Manhattan love story makes its premiere, promotion for the show is now in full swing.
The sneak peek below introduces us to Carrie’s best friend, the sweet and geeky Mouse played by Ellen Wong (Combat Hospital). The video shows Mouse losing her virginity and as she describes it, “It was like putting a hot dog in a key hole.” And though her name may be “Mouse” she is no longer afraid of snakes… trouser snakes. I kid, I kid.
The sneak peek also shows Mouse getting heartbroken which seems to be pretty common on the show as it has already happened to Carrie in this sneak peek when Austin is seen with another girl after making out with Carrie.
One thing’s for sure: “The first time can hurt, sometimes in more ways than one.”
The Carrie Diaries premieres Monday, January 14th, at 8|7c on The CW.
