The latest episode of The 100 was one of the better episodes this season, with several callbacks to previous seasons. Clarke and Abby are faced with an extremely difficult decision, Jasper talks some sense into Bellamy, and Jaha may be the one to save them all. “God Complex” was written by Lauren Muir and directed by Omar Madha.
“Welcome to Mt. Weather.” | With 10 days before the radiation storm hits, Abby (Paige Turco) and Clarke (Eliza Taylor) ultimately decide they must put the grounder in the radiation chamber. They successfully turned him into a nightblood, so he should be able to withstand the experiment. Unfortunately it didn’t work like that, after the radiation reached a certain level something in the nightblood broke down and killed him. Abby is able to isolate and remove that part and needs to try again. Emori (Luisa D’Oliveira) knows she’s a target so she tries to break the radiation chamber with John’s (Richard Harmon) help, but they’re caught and restrained. Now they will force Emori to be the test subject. Luna (Nadia Hilker), Raven (Lindsey Morgan), and Murphy and very much against it, and Clarke seems to listen because at the last moment she injects herself with the nightblood serum. When Abby realizes what her daughter has done she breaks the radiation chamber, claiming she’s seen what happens to Clarke in there just like Raven saw the rocket. So that plan has gone down the toilet, but Clarke is now a nightblood.

Advice From An Unexpected Person | Bellamy (Bob Morley) follows Jasper (Devon Bostick) out of camp when he realizes Jasper doesn’t have anything to protect himself if the black rain comes. Jasper is collecting some of the nuts that made all the delinquents hallucinate months back, and decides to give Bellamy some advice. He tells his friend he needs to just let go of the past, let go of what he did, and live in the moment. They’ve got 10 days left to live, why not do whatever the hell they want with those days? When they get back to Arkadia Jasper throws a huge party for those who want to enjoy their last few days.
Jaha Might Get Redemption | Jaha (Isaiah Washington) hasn’t given up on finding the Level 12 bunker that could save them all. And with the help of Kane (Henry Ian Cusick), Monty (Christopher Larkin), Indra (Adina Porter), and Gaia (Tati Gabrielle) he finds it. They all travel to Polis so Gaia could take them to the place where Becca’s remains are, that’s their Level 12 bunker. Monty uses his genius brain to solve the puzzle allowing them entrance to the bunker, and down they go.
Other Thoughts:
- Luisa and Richard both killed it this episode, it really felt like Murphy and Emori were fighting for their lives.
- I’m glad Raven pointed out that they are doing exactly what Mt. Weather did.
- Harper (Chelsey Reist) is terrified and seeing Monty comfort her is adorable. Drunk Harper is just hilarious.
- Bellamy may have found a new boo-thang, but she looks an awful lot like Clarke.
- Monty proves AGAIN why he should have been on Clarke’s List.
