Devious Maids Season 2 premiere gets a Desperate touch.
Desperate Housewives alum Eva Longoria is stepping behind the camera for the Season 2 premiere of Devious Maids, where she also serves as Executive Producer.
The star appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show on Monday and shared what it was like being in the director’s chair.

“I love telling people what to do,” the actress tells Ellen with a laugh. “I really like being behind the camera, I like the business side of it. I like producing, I like directing. Because you have so much control over the final product as opposed to an actor who just shows up and says their lines.”
The surprise hit sudser was famously passed by ABC which was later — and thankfully — picked up by another network. Eva shares her thoughts on the very fortunate show that found a home and became a success.
“With Devious, we hit the lottery with Lifetime because we’re the fastest growing scripted show [on the network]. We ended [the season] with the most viewers possible. It was just such a fun ride and this year is even more devious.”
Devious Maids Season 2 premieres on Sunday, April 20, at 10pm on Lifetime.
