Netflix Reveals Trailer, Release Date for “A Series of Unfortunate Events”

Lemony Snicket does NOT want you to watch Netflix’s new series. But we will anyway.

Netflix has finally released an ominous trailer for their highly anticipated adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s- AKA Daniel Handler- book series, “A Series of Unfortunate Events.”

The eight episode series will be available on the streaming site Friday, January 13 2017, in keeping with the series’ theme of bad luck.

The trailer seems to nail the tone of the books and the 2004 film and Patrick Warburton’s Snicket seems to step out of the pages of the books.

There’s also a brief sound bite of Neil Patrick Harris’s Count Olaf for those with good ears. The trailer contains a few Easter Eggs for fans of the books.

The series also stars Joan Cusack, Malina Weissman and Louis Hynes. “A Series of Unfortunate Events” will be available for streaming January 13.

Are you a Lemony Snicket fan? What do you think of this new series? Tell us in the comments.
