The 100 Season 4 Teasers: Premiere Title and Possible Premiere Date?

If you’re a fan of The 100, you’re accustomed to long waits between seasons. What better to help the time fly than wild speculation? I’ll be bringing you lots of news and theories as we wait for the cast’s beautiful faces to grace our screens again.

For starters, lets talk premiere date! Recently, The 100 Writers Room shared this photo on Instagram:

cw-100-season-4-premiere-date-titleWell, we know what the radiation has to do with the show (hint: everything), but what about that number at the bottom? It reads “17.2 OZ.” This doesn’t seem to have any significance, but what about a date? The 100 is written and filmed in Canada, where dates are written “day/month/year” instead of “month/day/year” like they are in the US. The number could then be interpreted as February 17th. And notice the banner across the top: “ON SALE 2017.”

Now, is this a teaser that the premiere date will be February 17th, 2017? Or is it the air date of the episode they were writing that day? Or is it simply a red herring? Only time will tell, as no one knows for sure (except the people involved in producing The 100, but they’re stubbornly keeping their mouths shut). (Editors Note: Take a look at a mock fragrance ad we made a couple years ago here!)

The script cover for episode 4×01 of The 100 seems like a solid lead, but it’s not from a known source. “The 100 S4 News” posted this photo on Twitter, from an anonymous source:

It certainly looks legitimate, but it could be fake. What do you think?

Now, here comes the “wild speculation” I talked about earlier. What significance does the possible title have? “Echoes” brings to mind a certain traitorous grounder, so it’s likely Echo (Tasya Teles) will be involved. It also could be a reference to the characters coming to terms with the “echoes” of what they did while under ALIE’s (Erica Cerra) influence. Those “echoes” will certainly be difficult for Kane (Henry Ian Cusick), Abby (Paige Turco), Raven (Lindsey Morgan), Jasper (Devon Bostick), and Emori (Luisa D’Oliveira) to learn to live with, and I believe that will be a recurring theme throughout the season. Hopefully Clarke (Eliza Taylor) will be able to help them, and they her, as she bears the weight of many deaths. Coming together and drawing strength from one another will likely be another theme of season 4.

So, readers, what does “Echoes” mean to you? What do you think will happen in season 4 of The 100?
